Timo Werner impressed once against for RB Leipzig on Tuesday after providing an assist for Marcel Sabitzer’s opening goal in their 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. The German’s performance has got Liverpool fans even more excited over the summer transfer rumours.
Liverpool’s links with Timo Werner have been ramping up lately after the 24-year-old spoke out about how he would be the perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp’s system.
Werner set up the first goal for Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday and had maintained 100% shot accuracy. The forward also created three key passes in the attacking build-up (via Sofascore).
Werner now has 27 goals and 12 assists in 36 matches this season (Transfermarkt) – seriously impressive stats that could potentially add to an already clinical Liverpool front three.
