Liverpool fans have heaped praise on striker Rhian Brewster after he scored his first senior goal for Swansea City during his side’s 2-1 win against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
The 19-year-old opened his account for the Swans as his new side moved up to 5th in the Championship table following the victory. The Latics took the lead for three first-half minutes through Nathan Byrne before the Reds loanee struck back in scintillating fashion. The England U17 World Cup winner was slipped in by a reverse pass from Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher and calmly finished into the bottom corner of the Wigan net.
Brewster recently said that he was determined to improve himself and manager Jurgen Klopp described him as a “fantastic player” as he continues his development in South Wales. He won eight of his 16 individual battles and managed to get off five shots on goal, according to SofaScore. Supporters were delighted for the youngster and made their feelings clear on social media.
