According to the Liverpool Echo, Pedro Chirivella could be on his way out of Anfield this summer upon the expiry of his contract.
The 22-year-old will likely be joining Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne in departing the club this summer as all of their contracts tick down. Chirivella has been part of the Merseyside outfit since his move from Valencia to the Liverpool academy in 2013, but the Spaniard has never really broken through into the senior team.
Other than wearing the captain’s armband against Shrewsbury in this season’s FA Cup, Chirivella has spent little time in Liverpool’s first team and it seems his time is close to being up with the Reds.
However, fans aren’t happy with the recent news with many disappointed that the club will be losing a good player. One fan might have taken it too far by saying they are ‘devastated’ that Chirivella is leaving whilst another has called him ‘another Fabinho’.

Heartbroken. Devastated. Pick your word. What a terrible terrible decision and I can only hope Jurgen isn’t this foolish. One of the most technically gifted midfielders the world has seen since Thiago. We’ll regret letting him go. #PC68

What do you think, Liverpool fans? Is it time Chirivella left the club or does he have more to give?
