Liverpool: Fans elated as Reds could be set to pocket more money from Philippe Coutinho deal

Another surprise clause in Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona has presented itself and it could see Liverpool pocket even more money.

As reported by the Liverpool ECHO (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), the Reds could be looking at receiving an extra £4.4m from Barcelona this coming season.

In another stroke of genius from Michael Edwards, many fans have discovered that Coutinho needs to make just 15 more appearances for the Catalonians in order to trigger this particular clause. This could very much become a reality as well, as despite talks of the Brazilian leaving Spain, new manager Ronald Koeman is reportedly keen to involve him in his squad this campaign.

Coutinho left the Merseyside outfit back in 2018 for his dream move to Barca as Liverpool secured an impressive £142m deal with the La Liga giants (via BBC Sport).
