Gini Wijnaldum is reportedly set to remain at Liverpool until the end of this season, much to the delight of many Kopites.
The Reds have recently been locked in a tough battle to keep the Dutchman at the club as reports of his potential departure to join Barcelona have circulated and some fans have been in panic mode as Wijnaldum has less than 12 months left on his current contract.

However, Simon Hughes has reported that the 29-year-old will remain a Liverpool player this season (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom).
It’s unknown whether Wijnaldum, who is the club’s fourth man in line for captaincy, will pen new terms as the campaign unfolds. For now, though, many fans are just pleased to see the player commit this season to the Reds.
One supporter has replied to the update saying it’s ‘exactly what I wanted’ whilst another has said that the club is showing ‘a bit of ambition’ by keeping hold of Wijnaldum.
