Plenty of Liverpool fans have heaped praise on former Brazil international Kaka – a man who once broke their hearts following his exploits in the 2007 Champions League final – after he admitted that he enjoyed watching Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.
The runaway Premier League leaders are currently enjoying a 22-point lead at the top of the of standings ahead of rivals Manchester City after dropping just two points all season. With the Reds still in the Champions League and the FA Cup, the chance of a potential treble is still on and the 37-year-old has been delighted with the progress of his compatriots Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino.
The former AC Milan midfielder, who played in two Champions League finals during his Serie A days, told Sky Sports News that he enjoyed watching the Merseyside club’s way of playing football, adding that Klopp was a “pioneer coach”. Supporters were delighted with Kaka’s comments and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described him as a “legend”, while another said that he wanted to “hug him”.
