Ahead of the transfer window, Liverpool fans are discussing the other options available this summer if Timo Werner’s fate lies outside of Anfield.
Merseyside seems a possible destination for the German star who currently plays for RB Leipzig, but Werner himself has admitted he isn’t sure where he wants to embark on his next step. The 24-year-old is reportedly linked to Manchester United and Manchester City as well as the current Champions League title holders (via talkSPORT).
Despite even James Pearce agreeing that Werner would be ‘perfect’ for Liverpool, and a cheaper option than the likes of Jadon Sancho, fans are casting their gaze elsewhere in case the move falls through.
A recent post from @AnfieldEdition has got fans in debate over who a good back-up option would be. According to the Express, Liverpool are also eyeing up Luka Jovic, Carlos Vinicius, Victor Osimhen and Diogo Jota. One supporter has favoured Real Madrid’s Jovic, claiming it’s ‘time to move Bobby back’ whilst another only wants Werner…
