Liverpool: Fans drool over Adrian’s save in training

Liverpool fans have heaped praise on goalkeeper Adrian after the stunning save he made in training on Wednesday.

The Spaniard, who only signed for the club for free in the summer, has had a better time than he could have ever expected after deputising for the injured Alisson Becker as early as the first Premier League match. The Brazil international was unable to continue due to a calf injury and Adrian stepped in for the Reds’ eight-game winning streak, as per TransferMarkt. He was keen to show off his skills in training as the side prepares for the visit of Manchester United on Sunday.

Simply captioned “sorry but… no“, the former West Ham shot-stopper managed to save a shot from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain low to his right while he had his hands wrapped around another ball from a previous save, which he posted on Instagram. Adrian was the hero in Istanbul earlier in the season as he saved a crucial penalty during the shootout from Tammy Abraham to secure victory for the Champions League winners following a 2-2 draw after extra-time. Supporters loved his stop and made their feelings clear on social media.
