Many Liverpool fans were fuming with midfielder Takumi Minamino after reports suggested that he needs to do more to impress Jurgen Klopp in training.
This was according to The Athletic journalist James Pearce, who revealed that Klopp simply overlooked Minamino for his side’s 3-2 defeat against Manchester United and that he had not picked up an injury.

Minamino has been at Anfield for 12 months and has only scored four goals from 31 appearances in all competitions, following his £7.25m move from Red Bull Salzburg.
During that timeframe, he has received scrutiny from segments of the Kop faithful for not hitting the ground running on Merseyside.

With this in mind, supporters have run out of patience for Minamino, with some bizarrely suggesting that he should be offloaded.
Fans running out of patience with Minamino
“He definitely needs to show more on the pitch when he does get a chance … Although I do wonder what the hell Origi is doing in training… he’s done nothing in matches to suggest he trains like a demon!”
“If he isn’t training as well as Origi, he has to go”
“He needs to leave. He isn’t up to it.”
“He looks lost in tactics when on the pitch. His effort is top-notch, but seems always misplaced…”
“This player has added no value to the team. It was a mistake to sign him”
“Taki needs to do more in the gym”
“Most useless signing under Klopp”
