Liverpool fans fume at Dejan Lovren as he stills remains unavailable

If you were to ask 100 Liverpool fans what they think of Dejan Lovren a lot of them would tell you they want him gone. The Croatian has a big mouth and whilst he’s more than prepared to talk himself up, he seems adverse to proving it on the pitch. Then there are his injury issues, and as he’s currently still injured, the fans have been getting frustrated.

Klopp: “Lovren and Gomez out, all the rest in training. Brewster in little parts of training, Ox in bigger parts but still not ready. Usually around this time I get a message to say that someone is ill!”

The Reds can be forgiven for their anger directed at Lovren. The Croatian was made to look like a quality centre-half for a large spell of 2018 that culminated in a World Cup final. However, he’s resorted back to his usual error prone frustrating self this season and when the Kopites have their full squad fit the best Lovren can hope for is a spot on the bench as Joe Gomez has usurped him.

The Reds have been left waiting for Gomez’s return for a long time though. The last time the ex-Charlton defender featured for the club was in early December when he started in a 3-1 win away at Burnley, a game where he suffered a fractured leg and has remained out for a long time. That injury has left the fans having to put up with Lovren for longer than they’ve wanted to and now it looks like they’re finally getting sick of the ex-Southampton man.

Lovren needs to go!! We need a new CB for sure, cant rely on Gomez so it wont hurt to have another good CB to rotate when needed.
