Liverpool made easy work of brushing aside Lincoln City in their Carabao Cup clash at the LNER Stadium.
The Reds fired an impressive seven goals past the League One side, who will be pleased with their own two goals they managed to scrape back throughout the 90 minutes.
Xherdan Shaqiri made his long-awaited return to the first team with style after opening up the scoreline after just nine minutes. The Switzerland international blasted a free-kick off the underside of the crossbar and into the net, his first goal since April.

Curtis Jones, Marko Grujic and Divock Origi also got themselves on the scoresheet, as well as Takumi Minamino who bagged himself a brace.
James Pearce has relayed Jurgen Klopp’s comments from after the match: “I loved Taki’s game tonight,” he said. “Outstanding. Involved in so many good situations.”
The former Red Bull Salzburg man joined Liverpool in December after scoring 64 goals in 199 appearances for the Austrian side (via Transfermarkt).
