Nike have released their first official advert for Liverpool’s upcoming season in their new kit.
The sportswear giants have taken over from former club manufacturer New Balance in a lucrative new sponsorship deal. According to the Daily Star, the Reds will be paid £30m per season from the deal, plus an extra 20% from sales from all club merchandise on the Nike website.

The American company have impressed with their first advertisement for Liverpool’s first season under Nike. The video highlights the culture of the Merseyside city and what it means to be a Kopite, which many fans absolutely love.
Liverpool’s political stance and their love for football go hand-in-hand and Nike have done well to highlight this. Many supporters have flocked to the video to appreciate the handiwork, with one claiming that it gave them ‘goosebumps’.
Another fan has lauded the ‘brilliant’ ad whilst another has boldly stated that Liverpool as a a club is ‘bigger than football’.
