A number of Liverpool supporters have been bemoaning the news that Naby Keita will miss the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
The Reds suffered a disappointing afternoon on Saturday, blowing a two-goal lead to eventually draw 2-2 at home to Brighton.
Chelsea’s win at Newcastle United means they have opened up a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League, although Manchester City’s defeat at home to Crystal Palace was a bonus.

There were plenty of negatives on show at Anfield but one of the biggest was another injury to Keita, who has found some impressive form this season. The Guinean left the pitch in the first half with a hamstring problem and Liverpool didn’t look the same force from that point onwards, with the midfield looking too open.
On Sunday, the club’s official Twitter account confirmed that the 26-year-old is expected to miss Wednesday’s visit of Atletico, acting as a big blow to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
