Liverpool: Fans not impressed with Reds’ stance on Xherdan Shaqiri

Many Liverpool fans pleaded with the club to keep midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri in light of the recent update surrounding his future.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 29-year-old could be one of a few players to leave during the January transfer window, believed to be valued at £20m.

The report added that youngsters Liam Millar and Yassar Larouchi could also be on their way out of the Anfield exit door.

Shaqiri is yet to start a Premier League game for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and has only featured in the German’s starting eleven once in the Champions League (Whoscored).

The Switzerland international has struggled with multiple calf injuries since his £13m move from Stoke City in 2018 and has scored just eight goals from 47 appearances during that timeframe.

Despite this, supporters were not keen to see Shaqiri leave the club this month, making their feelings clear towards the boss and the club’s board.
