Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain turns 25 today and as Liverpool took to Twitter to wish him a happy birthday they were hit with a flood of tweets from fans who simply can’t wait to have the dynamic midfielder back in the starting eleven again.
Happy birthday, @Alex_OxChambo!

Chamberlain ruptured his cruciate ligament last season in the 5-2 first-leg victory over Roma in the Champions League semi-finals and hasn’t featured since. Jurgen Klopp has been reluctant to put a timeline on the midfielder’s return, and with good reason, as he doesn’t want to rush the midfielder back into action until he knows that the former Arsenal man is 100% ready to get back out on the pitch.
Klopp has taken good measure to ensure that Chamberlain won’t be missed too much. Naby Keita and Fabinho have both in brought in to bolster the club’s midfield and it looks like, for now, the club will be able to cope without the Ox. Give it a few months when the club are playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday and Klopp will be desperate for the rotation, which will make the eventual return of Chamberlain even sweeter.
