Jurgen Klopp’s midfield seems to become a talking point ahead of every single match that the Reds play and the game tonight against PSG is no different. Winning away at the Parc des Princes will see Liverpool qualify from their Champions League group, and the fans want to see some experience in the middle, calling for a trio of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Going on form, the only man who simply has to start is Wijnaldum. A lot of fans predicted that the Dutchman would struggle for game time this season after FSG opened their wallet and brought in both Fabinho and Naby Keita. However, quite the opposite has happened as the two new boys have struggled with injuries and lack of game-time, allowing Wijnaldum to thrive across different roles in his side’s midfield three.
Alongside Wijnaldum, it looks like Henderson is also nailed on. The Anfield skipper was sent off against Watford at the weekend meaning he’ll miss the Merseyside derby on Sunday, so knowing he won’t play this weekend means that Klopp will probably throw him a game tonight. Then there’s the effervescent James Milner, who loves the big occasion and will be the perfect man to counter PSG’s midfield with his aggression and work rate.
