It’s been no secret this season that Mo Salah is yet to reach the heights that he did last season. The Egyptian hasn’t got near to his form of the last 12 months and when you factor in that Roberto Firmino has gone five games without a goal or assist whilst Sadio Mane’s gone eight, it’s starting to look concerning.
Since the Leicester win, Mane has gone 8 games for club and country without a goal or an assist. Firmino's gone five. It's not just Salah who's struggling in front of goal. Want them to play and score on international duty, now.

Liverpool fans on Twitter have been trying to come up with a reason as to why they haven’t been firing this season. Some fans are blaming it on the tough run of fixtures they’ve just endured. The Reds have faced Spurs, Southampton, Chelsea twice, Napoli and Manchester City in the last few weeks and that does look a tough run of games, although you’d still expect their front three to have done better in those games.
Some fans, though have got other reasons. Some are blaming the absence of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, some are putting it down to the fact that Zeljko Buvac still hasn’t returned to the and one pessimistic Liverpool fans has even claimed that last season could have been a fluke. Most fans, though are convinced that their forwards will be getting back to it sooner or later and with games against Cardiff, Huddersfield and Red Star Belgrade round the corner, you back the club to be firing in the goals.
You can read The Kopites’ verdict on their front three’s quiet patch here:
We played some pretty good teams in last few weeks. If this lack of scoring continues against cardiff and red star then we should be worried. For now fans should be happy with this really good start to our season

It’s the front three . They are not supported by the midfield like last year

Maybe last season was a fluke..?

I think the lack of goals upfront is stemming from problems in our midfield. Last season we had a set 11 where as this season we seem to mixing up our middle three regularly. The lack of consistency in the middle seems to be effecting our play. Missing Ox aswell

Its about the service which they aernt getting from the midfield, we are missing ox’s dynamism from midfield ,not a single runner like him,now its time for lalllana to step up and add that missing creativity we are lacking .

The fans are far from pleased with the current lack of goals and will be looking forward to seeing a change after the international break.
