Roberto Firmino is a football who can change games on his own. The Brazilian has a Transfermarkt valuation of a whopping £72 million, and for good reason too. Last season he bagged 27 goals despite not being the Reds’ focal point in attack. This season, though, has been very different and the Reds have been discussing why the 27-year-old hasn’t been living up to his usual standards.

James Pearce of The Liverpool Echo has written an article that claims that the Brazilian should be given a breather in the coming days. The Reds face games against Burnley and Bournemouth before behemoth clashes against Napoli and Manchester United, and some fans agree with Pearce that Firmino should be given some time on the sidelines and brought back in for the two bigger games next week.
However, the other argument amongst the supporters is that Firmino should be put back into his old position. Jurgen Klopp used the Brazilian as a false nine last season, with huge success. However, this season the German gaffer has changed his 4-3-3 system to a 4-2-3-1 which has seen Firmino drop from being a false nine to a #10, and the change has not suited the ex-Hoffenheim man as he’s only been able to chip in with just five goals and two assists in 20 outings so far.

The Kopites would love to see Klopp resort back to his 4-3-3 to get the best from Firmino, but whilst they’re still winning games the urgency to change things isn’t as critical as the fans are making out.
