David Moyes has been on punditry duty again, and again, he has been talking about Liverpool. The ex-Everton and Manchester United manager has claimed that Liverpool’s squad in the 2008/09 season is better than the one this season and whilst he may have a point, the fans are refusing to believe anything coming from his mouth.
David Moyes: “You look back at teams over the years at Liverpool and they had great teams, when it was Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres up front. This is a good Liverpool team as well – I don’t know if it’s quite as good as that team at that time.”

David Moyes took charge of Everton over 500 times in his ten and a half years with the club. The 11 seasons in which he was in charge of the club were a good time for The Toffees. After coming to the club in March 2002 he managed to keep them up with a 15th place finish. That 15th place was one of the three times the 55-year-old failed to make the top eight in the Premier League and whilst he failed to win a trophy, he was a success on Merseyside.
That hasn’t stopped the Liverpool fans from tearing into Moyes. His time at Manchester United and Sunderland that have followed the Everton job have been much less successful and he’ll be hoping that his next job can be one that bears more fruit than his last couple. Either way, the Reds have taken great joy from watching Moyes demise since he left Everton and they’ll continue to laugh off the experienced gaffer’s comments on their club.

Coming from a man that said Everton were a decent striker away from winning the premiership this doesn't really hold water

Why anyone would listen to David Moyes is beyond me … he’s been robbing a living for years … the only time he won anything was at Preston

The Reds aren’t interested in what Moyes has to say and will continue to laugh off his comments about their club.
