After watching him bend in a sublime free-kick at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup, a lot of Liverpool fans have been keeping a close eye on young Harry Wilson, their Welsh loanee who’s spending this season at Derby. On Tuesday night, Wilson was at it again, netting the winner for his country against the Republic of Ireland with another mesmerising free-kick.

The young Welshman, who is similar in looks to a former Liverpool star Fernando Torres, looks like he has a big future at Anfield. The winger can really strike a ball and his ability to find the net from set-pieces will be especially useful. Jurgen Klopp will have been taking note and whilst The Reds have to honour their loan agreement with Frank Lampard’s Derby, a lot of fans want Wilson back at Anfield now.
The 21-year-old has loads of time to make his mark at Anfield, but considering he’s already bent one free-kick into the top-corner at old Trafford and done the famous Liverpool five-finger salute, it’s fair to say he’s already going to be a fan favourite. His winner for Wales on Tuesday was his third goal of the season so far and the next step for the winger will be to add some more goals to his game in the coming months before he returns to Liverpool.

The Reds want Wilson back now and will be keen to see what else he has in his locker between now and his Anfield return.
