The Reds have picked up from where they left off last term, and heading into their game against Manchester United on Sunday, they have actually won 17 league matches in a row (via Evening Standard).
There have been several standout performers so far for Jurgen Klopp’s side, including Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum.
The 28-year-old has been an ever-present for Liverpool so far this term, starting in all eight of their league matches and in one of their two Champions League fixtures (via Transfermarkt).
He brings lots of energy to the Reds midfield and also chipped in with a vital winning goal against Sheffield United to maintain their winning streak (via BBC Sport).
Wijnaldum has also played a starring role for his country this season, starting all four of their Euro 2020 qualifiers since September, scoring three goals and providing an assist (via Transfermarkt).
The Dutchman posted on his official Twitter account recently to say that it has been a brilliant start to the campaign, but also insisting that there is still work to do to make it a memorable one.
