Liverpool: Fans react as Reds due to sell six young players

Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to reports that up to six young players could leave the Anfield club in January.

The Reds are currently going through a catastrophic injury crisis, with both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez ruled out with long-term knee injuries, leaving Joel Matip as Jurgen Klopp’s only established centre-back currently available for selection.

Despite the injury crisis, according to the Liverpool Echo, Yasser Larouci, Caoimhin Kelleher, Liam Millar, Abdi Sharif, Sepp van den Berg and Joe Hardy may have the chance to depart in just under six weeks’ time.

More specifically, the focus was zoomed onto the young Dutch defender. Van den Berg has received plenty of criticism since his move from PEC Zwolle last summer after a series of poor first-team performances.
