Liverpool are eager to bring Jamal Lewis to Anfield this summer and have decided to respond to Norwich’s rejection of their initial bid.
The Reds offered £10m for the left-back’s services but the Canaries almost immediately knocked it back. According to Andy Hunter of The Guardian (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), Liverpool are preparing to respond with a new and improved bid in the hopes of convincing the recently-relegated side into selling up.

Lewis has been a target of Jurgen Klopp’s for months as the Liverpool manager hopes to be able to strengthen his Premier League-winning squad. With Yasser Larouci looking for a move away from Anfield, Andy Robertson is the only recognised senior left-back, and the Reds are in huge need of reinforcements in case of injury problems next season.
Many Liverpool fans are hoping to see the club agree a deal for Lewis. One fan has commented on the update, urging the club to ‘go get him’ as he is the ‘perfect player’ for the Reds.
The 22-year-old would likely be more than happy to serve as back-up to first choice Robertson and has years ahead of him to develop in a title-winning side. James Pearce recently reported that Norwich are looking for double the Reds’ initial bid of £10m.

£15mn absolute max offer. If that’s rejected then we should walk or try to get Lewis to get in a transfer request
