A new piece of information surrounding Nabil Fekir’s failed move to Liverpool two years ago has come to light.
The France international was all but announced as a Red in 2018 until a shock turn in the road saw a potential move to Anfield collapse.

Romain Collet-Gaudin recently spoke with LFC Transfer Room about the nature of Fekir’s link to the Merseyside outfit. The initial reason two years ago appeared to be that the midfield failed his medial, however this new update says otherwise.
“The real reason of breakdown was that his entourage wanted additional commissions,” Collet-Gaudin said. “LFC didn’t appreciate this and retracted. They were ready to sign him despite a not 100% positive medical.”
This has come as a huge surprise to many Liverpool fans who are reliving the disappointment all over again. One supporter has said that ‘this one hurt the most’ out of all the other unsuccessful Anfield transfer cases.
