Liverpool fans have been left surprisingly impressed by a video that has emerged on social media of former player Lazar Markovic producing an excellent piece of skill.
The Serbian, who now plays back in his home country for Partizan, endured a torrid time at Anfield. Signed by Brendan Rodgers for £20m in 2014, the 25-year-old struggled to make any impact during his spell on Merseyside and made just 34 appearances in five years.
He was sent out on loan four times as the club tried to get him off the books, before finally leaving permanently in January 2019.
But many Liverpool fans were left stunned when they saw him produce some sublime skills on a video which is doing the rounds on Twitter.
In Partizan’s recent game against Javor, Markovic brilliantly managed to flick the ball up and over his opponent before charging down the wing and producing an inch-perfect cross into the box.
Unfortunately, the striker he found could not cap the move off by finding the back of the net, but nevertheless, it was a superb piece of skill from the Serbia international.
Quite a few Reds fans have been urging the club to bring him back to Anfield – here is what some of them had to say…

If only Klopp had signed him and he didn’t have to go through the Brendan era.
