Liverpool fans have responded to a plot made yesterday suggesting that Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne should sign for Liverpool, but don’t think it will happen.
The 28-year-old has become a critical asset for the Citizens since joining from Wolfsburg in 2015 for £55m. He has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or for the second successive season.
De Bruyne found himself on the losing side as the Citizens lost 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield, with goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane sealing the three points for the Reds.
The Belgian international already has two goals and nine assists during the current campaign, replicating his form that he produced two seasons ago.
Despite the plea from some fans, others did not feel that it was realistic to sign the £117m man and made their feelings clear on social media.’
