Liverpool might not have been expecting their team to be in the draw for the next round of the FA Cup when they saw theirs and Everton’s starting 11s. However, their youngsters managed to pull the result out of the bag to embarrass what many would describe as their rival’s first-choice team. One player who was excellent was Adrian.

The goalkeeper made three great saves in the first half to deny a dominant Everton the first goal of the game, and that gave his outfield players the chance to shift the momentum in the second half and seal the win. The Liverpool Echo rated him 9/10 for his performance and noted those saves as “big” in the context of the tie.
The player posted a tweet after the game saying “Liverpool is red” followed by a couple of photos from the game. Liverpool fans saw the post and many were quick to reply and tell the club’s second-choice goalkeeper how well he performed. Some even went as far as to say he’s better than Manchester United’s David de Gea.
