Jurgen Klopp has made some new comments on Liverpool’s current status in the transfer market.
In his latest press conference ahead of Saturday’s Community Shield clash, (via James Pearce) the German has dropped a potential hint over the club’s transfer business.

“There’s a long way to go until the 6th October,” Klopp said. “We will see how much we can or want to spend, these kind of things.”
Naturally, Liverpool fans are hoping this is a subtle hint towards a successful end to the summer window. The Reds have already signed Kostas Tsimikas to serve as back-up to Andy Robertson, but a certain Thiago Alcantara deal is yet to really get off the ground.
Recent updates confirmed the Spaniard will be leaving Bayern Munich ahead of next season, but the Merseyside outfit are yet to make an official bid for his services.

One supporter has said Klopp’s comments are ‘what we wanna hear’ whilst another is relieved to hear some more ‘promising’ news regarding Liverpool’s transfer stance.

“Want to spend” – I sense Klopp starting to get a little frustrated with FSG.

Quite worrying that the gaffer is still not sure how much he has to spend in the transfer market.. Season starts in 2 weeks.
He’s clearly highlighting his frustration with the statement he’s made.
My biggest worry is that the purse strings aren’t going to open again this season.— LTB@Liverpool (@LTB01620129) August 28, 2020
