Tonight will see Liverpool hosting Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16. The first leg of the tie will be crucial and if the Reds are to progress they’ll need to take a lead to Munich. However, yesterday the news broke that Roberto Firmino had missed training with a virus and was a doubt, leading to fans calling for Daniel Sturridge.
How would you lineup without Bobby? Shaq on the right, Salah in the middle?! https://t.co/n7E3DikPzx

Most Liverpool fans have got faith in their Brazilian frontman to be fit in time for tonight’s clash, and they’ll all be panicking if he’s not. However, if Firmino is to miss out Jurgen Klopp has plenty of options available to him. The likes of Sturridge, Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Mo Salah can all be used to deputise for the ex-Hoffenheim man, although it’s far from ideal to be without your starting centre-forward.
Liverpool have already come through some tough games at Anfield in the Champions League this season. Jurgen Klopp masterminded wins over both Napoli and PSG in the group stages, and in that PSG win Sturridge started and scored. This time around, Bayern will be a different clash to both of those group stage clashes seeing as this is a must-win for the Reds, however, be it Sturridge of Firmino, the fans will have faith in getting a win.

Sturridge or origi up top. Salah out wide.

The Reds are all keen to see Sturridge feature tonight, although ideally, they wouldn’t have to worry about Firmino’s absence at all.
