Liverpool fans will have been left incredibly frustrated after yesterday’s 0-0 draw in what was probably their biggest game of the season so far. Whenever the Reds go to Old Trafford it’s a huge game and yesterday was no different as it had the added pressure of being a game that could the turn the title race, however, injuries ravaged the match.
If Bobby misses out on Wednesday, who would you bring in to the XI?

The home side lost Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard all to injury in the first half and it was also very clear that Marcus Rashford was not fit as he limped around the park for 90 minutes to little effect. Then for the away side the travelling Reds were left devastated when Roberto Firmino went down holding his ankle in the opening 45 minutes and had to be replaced by Daniel Sturridge on 31 minutes.
The worrying thing for the Kopites now is that their Brazilian talisman will be missing for a period of time, and if he is then they’ll need to make some serious changes to their side. Sturridge offered almost nothing yesterday in his role up front, leading the fans to call against the Englishman coming in for Watford on Wednesday and a lot of them have called for the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri or Divock Origi to be trusted in Firmino’s absence.
You can read the Kopites’ calls on who should replace Firmino here:

This highlights our lack of options up front. Would’ve brought Origi on ahead of Sturridge, he works harder but still doesn’t fit the front 3.

The Reds would love to have a reliable striker who they could call upon in Firmino’s absence yet instead they’ll be stuck with Origi, Sturridge or an out of position Mo Salah on Wednesday when they host Watford.
