Liverpool fans want Klopp to keep hold of Ragnar Klavan

Liverpool enjoyed a lot of success throughout the summer, with some big names moving to Anfield. The end of the transfer window was likely viewed by most as the end of their business, but there is at least a chance that it could carry on beyond the English deadline.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool could consider offers for Ragnar Klavan before the end of August, with the defender eager to get regular game time.

Klavan has been an important part of proceedings at Anfield since moving to the club in 2016, but following the arrival of Virgil van Dijk, his minutes have been more limited. With Dejan Lovren improving and even young Joe Gomez looking good, the Reds have a lot of quality at the back, and that was always going to have a negative impact on Klavan.

Granted, at 32-years-old, he’s at an age in which regular game time is important, and so it’s easy to understand his perspective, whilst his mixed form does give Liverpool reason to consider a sale.

However, among many Liverpool fans online, a departure makes little sense. They’re concerned that Klavan leaving will give Klopp a lack of options at the back.
