Plenty of Liverpool supporters would like to see midfielder Naby Keita become a regular in their starting 11.

The former RB Leipzig man joined the Reds back in 2017 but has struggled for much game time since his arrival in Merseyside.
Indeed the 24-year-old only managed to start just 16 of Liverpool’s 38 Premier League matches in the 2018/19 season (Transfermarkt), and so far this season his only start came in their EFL Cup tie against MK Dons (Transfermarkt).
However, the main reason for his lack of appearances this season is seemingly that he has been struggling with injury (Transfermarkt). Indeed, he is now fully fit, and impressed in his cameo against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, with the Liverpool Echo describing him as someone who brought ‘extra creativity and ingenuity’ to the midfield.
In just eight minutes the Guinean played 22 passes in that match, just four less than Jordan Henderson managed in 71 minutes (via @PremLeaguePanel).
Fans believe that their midfield needs more attacking flair added to it, and plenty seem to think that Keita is the man to provide that going forward.
And when asked on Twitter whether they would want their number eight to be part of the starting 11 for the remainder of the season, quite a few supporters said yes…
We didn’t wait a whole year to get him for him to just sit on the bench. Yes, I think he should start.
