Liverpool: Fans slam FSG as double James Pearce transfer update emerges

Some Liverpool fans have once again turned on club owners Fenway Sports Group following a tweet from James Pearce.
The Athletic reporter has claimed that the Reds were in the market for defensive targets Ben White and Ben Godfrey but their asking prices have been a red flag for the club (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom).
Who would you rather see start alongside Virgil van Dijk?
Joe Gomez

Joel Matip

Jurgen Klopp’s side stormed to their first Premier League title last season after a runaway streak saw them brush aside any competition with ease. However, as they prepare to defend their crown, some supporters are lacking faith due to the fact that Liverpool have made just one senior signing this window.
Kostas Tsimikas signed a five-year deal last month after Olympiakos agreed an £11.7m fee for his departure (via BBC Sport). He will serve as backup to Andy Robertson, with Klopp now having two natural senior left-backs. However, many fans feel that there are still other signings to be made and the lack of investment isn’t going down well.
One supporter thinks it ‘all started when we sold Torres’, as Liverpool cashed in on the Spaniard for £50m in order to fund the arrivals of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in 2011.

i’m not about to keep supporting this team like this, it’s hard to watch what’s going on, this is sad, leeds won the championship and are going ballistic, we won the prem and seem to can’t pay for anything

To be honest, can anyone help me understand this but last year 2019 made no signing & only in 2020 we bought Kostas + Takumi for a combined £18m but past two seasons amassed a total of £324m. Yet we are struggling to sign Thiago🤷🏾♂️

Ha this just keeps on getting better and better, its seems ALL price tags are prohibitive for FSG.

When it comes to @LFC , price is always problem. They can only buy players like harvey elliott and Neco Williams. At this pace, I expect @LFC will play League Two by 2024.

Every deal that is more than 10 mil is “prohibitive” for us. It’s really embarrassing
