Liverpool fans are feeling underwhelmed here in the Football Transfer Tavern, after hearing from Talksport that Lazio starlet Felipe Anderson will sign a new contract at the Serie A outfit.
The 21-year-old Brazilian looks set to stay at the Italian club and subsequently dash Brendan Rodgers’ hopes of landing the highly-rated attacking midfielder.
Anderson was under contract at the club until 2018, and he now looks set to extend his stay at the club for a longer period of time.
The Lazio number seven has been at the club since 2013 after he joined from Sao Paulo, he has gone on to amass 34 appearances for the Italian club, notching eight goals.
Liverpool fans over by the bar in the Transfer Tavern feel pretty gutted about this news, with many of them quipping that he would have complemented fellow Brazilian Philippe Coutinho quite nicely in the Reds midfield.
