It’s been rather a strange season for the Liverpool fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve watched Jurgen Klopp’s side both star and struggle at times across the campaign.
Despite boasting one of the most dynamic attacking units in the league when on form, the Reds’ defence remains an issue and some of the punters in the bar are worried about James Milner becoming their long-term left-back. While the former England international has performed admirably in that role so far, surely he cannot be considered a proper left-back.
Which is why reports from the Sun have gone down such a storm amongst the Kopites in the bar. They claim Klopp is confident in sealing a deal for Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon, despite interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.
Such is the nature of the 16-year-old’s impressive performances in the Championship, the likes of Everton and Tottenham are understood to retain an interest, though the German is believed to be confident he would plump for the Reds. As you can imagine, that’s gone down very well amongst our punters, who seen him as the future.
Just how far can Sessegnon go in the game? Let us know below…
