The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly anticipating their side’s game against Arsenal on Wednesday. The Blues played out to a 0-0 draw against the Gunners last time out, with the two sides going into the second-leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final all square.
It’s certainly got all the makings of an interesting game, but unfortunately for the Blues, Antonio Conte has delivered some pretty concerning news ahead of the meeting.
As per Conte, via the official Chelsea Twitter page, the duo of Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas are out of the game – having both suffered injuries. In the case of the latter, it’s a back problem that is stopping Chelsea’s number 9 from featuring.
Antonio Conte reports that Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas are out of tomorrow's game. Morata has a problem with his back. A couple of other players will be checked before the game.

Morata’s tenure at Chelsea has been divisive amongst fans, with the Spaniard struggling to adapt to the Premier League in recent weeks. He had a very strong start to the season, but poor form in recent weeks has made him an unpopular man.
Unsurprisingly, then, the Chelsea fans on Twitter have been less than complimentary about him in light of Conte’s remarks – with many instead using the news as an opportunity to slam the Chelsea star.
In fact, many fans appear quite pleased that he isn’t going to feature, with one supporter, in particular, noting that a Chelsea win is now inevitable.
Whether that’s true or not is up for debate, but the Chelsea fans appear pretty unanimous in their negative sentiments.

Very good! Hazard and Willian again then

Morata and Fab missing tomorrow's game is just good news for Chelsea. The duo are currently down but have immense Coach's trust thus causing the club winnable games. Play 343 with Willian, Hazard and Michy in the field and we gonna beat Arsenal. Refer to this after the game.

@AlvaroMorata’s problem is he doesn’t have a backbone. Knew he would be a wimp when coming over to the @premierleague. I’m a Chelsea fan but he is very disappointing, no one wants your ‘big man’ up top being so weak.
