In a world where the likes of Richarlison costs £40 million, a lot of Arsenal fans would have been confident of recouping most of the £17 million that they paid Deportivo La Coruna for Lucas Perez back in 2016. However, according to The Mirror, they could be set to make a loss of £13 million on the Spaniard as West Ham are interested in signing Perez for just £4 million.

The layer himself will be feeling hard done by as he nears his exit from The Emirates. The Spanish striker spent the 2016/17 season at the club but could manage 11 Premier League appearances as ankle and thigh injuries hindered his debut season as a Gunner. Then he was shipped out on loan to Deportivo for the 2017/18 season and suffered relegation with the club.
The 2018/19 season will be where the 29-year-old will be keen to prove to the hierarchy at Arsenal that they were wrong to sell him. The Spaniard only managed one full 90 minutes in his time at Arsenal, and he bagged a hat-trick in that game, a 4-1 win away at Basel in the Champions League group stage. The news that he could be joining West Ham comes as a bit of a surprise, though, as the Hammers have a strong attacking lineup under Manuel Pellegrini and not many would have touted them with a move for another frontman.

The Perez fee is not impressing many Arsenal fans, some of whom would have been keen to keep the ageing Spaniard on board as a backup anyway.
