It has been a difficult week for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in the aftermath of his side’s 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Everton last weekend.

It wasn’t the afternoon the Spaniard had hoped for at all and the Citizens contingent here in the Transfer Tavern were left frustrated and angry for the entire afternoon, following such a traumatic defeat.

City need a minor miracle to win the league from their current position in the table and it is vital now that they get back in the hunt for a top four finish.

City take on Spurs this evening in what looks a mammoth fixture for the Citizens and the landlord is expecting a good crowd here in the Tavern for the game.

With City’s squad they should be capable of beating any team on paper, although given the two teams and their current form, Spurs will surely also fancy their chances to win the game.

Drop Claudio Bravo

The Chilean must be the only goalkeeper in the world that isn’t capable of saving shots, much to the dismay of the City faithful.

Guardiola pledged his backing behind Bravo ahead of fan favourite Joe Hart in the summer, with the England stopper farmed out on loan instead.

With Willy Caballero, a pretty reliable and safe pair of hands waiting in the wings, the visit of Tottenham Hotspur could be the perfect chance to throw the Argentinean stopper back into the first-team fold.

Feed Sergio Aguero

Over the last couple of weeks the little Argentine has looked isolated up front for the Citizens and as one of the world’s most feared marksmen it is vital Guardiola starts to get more out of his main man.

Aguero has cut a dejected figure of late leading the City attack and their supporters here in the Transfer Tavern believe that he is struggling for confidence of late.

One City fan is enjoying a pint of the landlord’s real ale in the Tavern and he thinks that the manager needs to do a lot more to get the team playing to Sergio’s strengths.
