The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern were delighted with their side’s performance on Tuesday night. The Citizens were, undoubtedly, the favourites heading into the game, but Guardiola’s men really put on a clinic.
Everyone from Sergio Aguero to Ilkay Gundogan put in stunning performances and the dominant 4-0 scoreline certainly suggests that the Citizens won’t be an easy side to defeat in the Champions League this season.
That being said, much of the talk following the clash hasn’t really been centred around the game itself. Indeed, much of it has instead centred around one player – Leroy Sane.
The German was expected to be out for the best part of two months after he suffered an injury against Cardiff in the FA Cup, but instead, he returned for a short spell on the pitch in the game on Wednesday.
It certainly came as a surprise to our resident Citizens, and it’s fair to say that the Man City fans over on Twitter are absolutely delighted. They can’t quite believe that he’s back so soon, and they couldn’t be happier.
