Plenty of Manchester City fans sent a clear message to the club in response to an online video featuring Leroy Sane in training.
The club’s official Twitter account @ManCity posted footage of the 24-year-old on the training ground ahead of the resumption of the Premier League in two weeks’ time and, judging by the 12-second clip, his finishing instincts remain as sharp as ever.

The video shows Sane dribbling past a couple of obstacles in a training drill before hammering the ball into the roof of the net past a stranded goalkeeper. The sight of him scoring was a familiar one (39 goals for the club) prior to a long-term cruciate ligament injury which has kept him out for the entirety of the 2019/20 Premier League so far.
The German, whose contract at the Etihad Stadium expires next year, is at the centre of a protracted transfer saga which has seen Bayern Munich make unsubtle advances for him (as per Bayern 1, via Manchester Evening News) in their attempts to lure the winger back to the Bundesliga (as per Evening Standard).

Lots of Manchester City fans begged for him to stay in response to an Instagram post he published on Monday and there were plenty repeating that message in reply to the club’s training ground tweet:
