Man City: Fans plead for Douglas Luiz return as he opens up about Aston Villa move

Speaking to ESPN Brasil, via Sport Witness, former Man City midfielder Douglas Luiz has opened up over his move to Aston Villa – claiming that he is ‘aware’ of the Sky Blues’ repurchase option and also revealed how manager Pep Guardiola ‘did everything’ he could to keep the Brazilian in Manchester.

Luiz, who left Eastlands for Villa in the summer of 2019, in a deal worth £15 million, has since gone on to shine in the Midlands under Dean Smith – with reports emerging over the summer Man City could be willing to buy him back.
