Plenty of Manchester City fans have implored the club to sign reported transfer target Houssem Aouar after his current club Lyon admitted he will be sold this summer.
L’Equipe reported [via Get French Football News] that the Ligue 1 side are resigned to losing the 21-year-old in the forthcoming transfer window and will sell him for a fee in the region of €50m (£43.75m), with the news shared on Twitter by @City_Chief.

According to L’Equipe [via Get French Football News], the midfielder is being very closely tracked by Manchester City and has a firm admirer in Pep Guardiola. The French under-21 international has scored nine goals and set up another seven in 37 appearances at club level this season and, with Lyon finishing outside the European qualification places as the Ligue 1 season was declared finished recently, the prospects of a transfer could be increased.
These Manchester City fans on Twitter urged their club to sign Aouar, with one fan claiming he would be an upgrade on Leroy Sane, who has been linked with a possible move to Bayern Munich (as per Sport Bild). Another supporter declared that the Lyon midfielder would be the “perfect replacement for David Silva” as the Spaniard prepares for his Etihad Stadium departure this summer.
