With Manchester City splashing the cash on big name signings this summer, many at the Etihad think that there is a distinct chance the club will go on to win the Premier League title this season under Pep Guardiola.
A late winner at Bournemouth this past weekend was sure sign that the Citizens have what it takes to grind out results and win important three points when the going is tough. This result sent the City fans here in the Tavern into raptures, and it’s been buzzing in our beer garden over the bank holiday weekend.
Our landlord though thinks that there is still room for yet more quality in the City ranks, especially in terms of young players. One player he thinks the club should go and make a move for is Ajax starlet Kasper Dolberg.
The impressive 19-year-old striker smashed in 16 goals for the Dutch champions last term in an impressive campaign which also saw him help his side reach the Europa League final.
City have plenty of players in the squad who are ready made to play now, but building for their future is something which they need to consider.
Dolberg fits that mold of up and coming young stars, while he also possesses the quality to even get involved this season if need be. He has the potential to be a superstar, and Dolberg could well be a star of the future in the Premier League if given the chance.
