Man City summer plans take shape as Guardiola eyes summer rebuild

The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern want to see an overhaul of their squad next season…

Their current side simply hasn’t been performing well enough, and with the likes of Zabaleta, Silva and Toure no longer the young players they once were – a major squad changeup is required.

It has come as a boost to the Citizens in the Transfer Tavern, then, to hear reports emanating from Manchester Evening News that Pep Guardiola is planning somewhat of an overhaul this summer – with the arrival of homegrown talent key to his plans.

According to Manchester Evening News, the likes of Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Jordan Pickford and Jack Wilshere are all being considered by Guardiola – as the Spaniard looks to increase the English options available to him.

This has delighted the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern, with English players desperately lacking at the Etihad currently. At present, Raheem Sterling, John Stones and Fabian Delph are among the English players at the club – but as is often the case amongst English fans, a few more wouldn’t go amiss.

In terms of the players in question, the likes of Dele Alli and Jack Wilshere would, according to our landlord, fit in well – with their quick pass-and-move style of play perfectly suited to Pep Guardiola.

The Citizens have struggled to keep up with Chelsea this season, and so the addition of a few more players wouldn’t certainly help going forward.
