Man United bosses hopeful over big deal at Old Trafford

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are warming to Jose Mourinho these days, despite a rocky start to life at Old Trafford.

While the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ almost certainly won’t win them the Premier League title first time around, the Portuguese is at least starting to make the Red Devils look like a team once more.

Though the 53-year-old and United may not always seem like the most natural marriage, the ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid coach is making strides to change it seems.

So much so, that reports from the Daily Telegraph have come as good news for the fans propping up our bar.

They claim top brass at the Theatre of Dreams are delighted about his impact and positive thinking behind the scenes, as well as the style in which the team are playing right now.

He penned a three-year deal at the club in the summer and bosses are understood to be willing to extend that stay as they desperately try and restore former glories.

Both chief executive Ed Woodward and the Glazer family are believed to have huge respect for Mourinho and reportedly feel as if he’s the man to step into Sir Alex Ferguson’s place.
