While the Red Devils remain in hunt for the Europa League title, losing to their one of their biggest rivals is not a pleasant sight. So, reports from the Sun over the course of the weekend did little to cheer them up.
They claim superstar forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unlikely to play for the club again after failing to convince manager Jose Mourinho he can return to the top level.
The 35-year-old suffered an awful crucial ligament injury against Anderlecht last month and recently underwent surgery on his knee, declaring himself stronger than ever.
However, the report suggests Mourinho does not believe a man who carried his team for much of the season will be able to return to the top level, despite seemingly getting better with age.
As you can well imagine, the punters propping up the bar are miserable as a result of these reports.
