Manchester United fans almost choked on their roast potatoes this afternoon in the Transfer Tavern when they heard of their club’s audacious plans for the January transfer window.
The Mirror says the Red Devils will move for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale in January, believing the Welsh winger is the perfect acquisition to push them towards the Premier League title and those mybettingbonus rewards.
Bale has been criticised by the Spanish media, and many Real Madrid fans, with it being regularly suggested the former Tottenham Hotspur star would return to the Premier League due to these issues.
Despite a hilarious catastrophe at the end of the summer transfer window, when David De Gea’s switch to the Spanish capital fell through, United chief executive Ed Woodward is confident the two clubs can complete a deal.
However, they will not use goalkeeper De Gea as makeweight in a deal and want to keep the Spaniard at Old Trafford.
