Man United prepared to shell out for midfielder deal

After watching their side lose yet again last night, it’s fair to say the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t having the best of times right now. 

Jose Mourinho is under pressure to convince the Red Devils faithful propping up the bar he’s not completely lost it and seems to be questioning himself already.

Having outcast World Cup-winner Bastian Schweinsteiger for much of the summer, the Portuguese recently allowed the German to return to first-team training.

While that proved a popular decision for the United fans in our four walls, reports from the Sun have only darkened the mood further.

They claim that the club are ready to pay the 32-year-old upwards of £10m to leave in January, though reportedly remain hopeful a club will come and take him off their books.

He’s failed to show the sort of form that made him such a revered midfielder at Bayern Munich and could be handed a lucrative severance package at the Theatre of Dreams.
