Metro have Manchester United fans looking up with some serious interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that one of their deadline day departures has not made manager Louis van Gaal very happy.
The departure in question is not Anderson but instead Darren Fletcher who said goodbye to United and joined West Bromwich Albion after seeing a potential move to West Ham United fall through.
Whilst our resident Red Devils supporters note that they would have liked to keep the squad player at the club, if he wanted to be playing week in, week out, a transfer away from Old Trafford was obviously the best thing for him.
Speaking to TalkSPORT, the Scottish midfielder claimed: “I spoke to the manager [Louis van Gaal] about not playing as much as I wanted and the club didn’t really want me to go but they respected my wishes.”
We think that United will be fine without the Scottish star and the difference he will make make to Tony Pulis’ Baggies could well see them veer away from relegation trouble altogether.
