Man United superstar makes honest admission

Speaking to their official website, Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said that he feels he could have scored more goals this season than he has done so far for the club with our resident Red Devils fans here in the Transfer Tavern certainly hoping he can follow up on that claim.

The former PSG and AC Milan star signed for the Old Trafford club in the summer and has scored against the likes of Bournemouth and as recently as against Swansea City at the weekend, but feels he could have hit the net more times than he has this campaign.

Prior to that, the 35-year-old struggled in front of goal since an electric start to life on these shores and missed a raft of chances in the recent drab draw at home to Burnley.

“I think I could have scored a couple more goals than I have done – I missed pretty good chances which I didn’t see myself doing”, said the superstar Swede.

”But it’s a different game here [in England]. Here, it’s different compared to the ones [the leagues] before.

”When you play a game here, there is no team controlling it, it’s back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. That’s the way the game is, you have to get used to it.

”With my performance, I am happy. I know I can do more, I know the team can do more and I want to do more and I will do more.”

United have struggled at times so far this season and are currently sixth in the Premier League table, eight points off of leaders Liverpool with Jose Mourinho coming in for some criticism so far in this campaign.

Nevertheless, they won comfortably against Swansea on Sunday host Arsenal at Old Trafford once the international break is over.
